I'm not the greatest with my quiet time. Sadly, it's one of those things that get shoved to the side, but should be of the highest priority. Why is that? I spend time on Facebook, instagramming, twittering (I'm not sure what the correct verb to use there), and so many other ridiculous things. So why can't I make my quiet time (time in His word and in prayer) a priority. Even though no one will probably ever see this little blog, I'm hoping it will become a tool for me to get my thoughts down while I spend time in the Bible and in prayer. Let's give a big shout out to GOALS and making sure they become a priority! Especially this one.
Our church has started a series call "Next Steps". This week, one of the ministers spoke on Connecting With God. How do you Connect With God? Through Bible study and prayer of course. They challenged us to read through the book of Matthew over the next couple of months. This week, I'll read through the first 4 chapters. They also encouraged us to watch
this little video before we started.
